After breakfast leave for Habarana.
Spend the afternoon birding in and around Habarana Tank.

Day 4. Habarana.
A.M. After breakfast visit Sigiriya and climb the rock/bird in the Sanctuary.
Spend the afternoon birding around the wetlands in the area.

After breakfast full day excursion to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa.

Day 6. Habarana – Kandy.
After breakfast leave for Kandy.
After checking in to a hotel in Kandy visit the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya

Day 7. Kandy.
After early breakfast visit Udawattakele Sanctuary.
In the afternoon visit the Temple of the Tooth.

Day 8. Kandy – Nuwara Eliya.
After breakfast leave for Nuwara Eliya visiting a Tea Factory en route.
Spend the afternoon birding in Victoria Park.

Day 9. Nuwara Eliya.
A predawn start to visit Horton Plains National Park at first light, with picnic breakfast.

After breakfast visit Surrey Estate, Welimada / Hakgala Botanical Gardens.
Spend the afternoon Birding in Bomuru Ella Forest Reserve.

Day 11. Nuwara Eliya – Tissamaharama.
After breakfast leave for Tissamaharama.
Spend the afternoon birding around the wetlands of Tissa.

Day 12. Tissamaharama.
Do one morning & one afternoon jeep safari in Yala National Park.
Lunch, dinner and overnight stay in Tissamaharama.

Day 13. Tissamaharama.
After breakfast jeep safari in Bundala National Park.
Spend the afternoon and evening birding around the lagoons in the area.
Lunch, dinner and overnight stay in Tissamaharama.

Day 14. Tissamaharama – Embilipitiya/Udawalawe.
After breakfast leave for Embilipitiya/Udawalawe, visit Kalametiya Bird Sanctuary en route.
Do an afternoon jeep safari in Uda Walawe National Park.
Lunch, dinner and overnight stay in Embilipitiya.

Day 15. Embilipitiya/Udawalawe – Sinharaja.
After breakfast do a second jeep safari in Uda Walawe National Park.
After lunch in Uda Walawe proceed to Sinharaja.
If time permits spend the late afternoon birding in the periphery of Sinharaja.
Dinner and overnight stay in Sinharaja periphery.

Day 18. Sinharaja – Kitulgala.
After breakfast Leave for Kitulgala.
Spend the afternoon birding around Kitulgala village area/Kelani Valley Forest Reserve.

Day 19. Kitulgala.
After breakfast full day birding in Kitulgala village area/Kelani Valley Forest Reserve.
Lunch, dinner and overnight stay in Kitulgala.

Day 20. Kitulgala – Ingiriya – Katunayaka.
After some post breakfast birding in the area, leave for hotel near the Airport visiting Ingiriya Forest Reserve (Bodinagala) en route.
Spend the afternoon exploring wetlands in the area.
Dinner and overnight stay in Katunayake.

Spend the morning looking at the coastal wetlands in the area.
Afternoon at leisurel in the hotel.
Lunch & dinner (depending on the departure time) at the hotel.
Late night DEPARTURE.
